Glendale -- If you live here, you see a city with positive attributes. If you are from somewhere else, it turns out you are pretty much in the dark. But, that clean slate provides a wide range of opportunities for the Glendale Marketing Committee to build a campaign to meet its goals of increasing tourism and economic development and attracting more young families to the city.

The committee, created early in 2009 and funded by the hotel room tax in the city, is zeroing in on ways to meet its goals. The city was formerly a member of Visit Milwaukee but withdrew its membership and funding at the end of 2008, feeling it could do a better job on its own.
