Article: The final race: Local runners ready for Rapids

Since practice started back on Aug. 17, this is the day that all high school cross country runners in the state have been waiting for. This Saturday, the WIAA state meet will take place at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.

Runners in three divisions in each of the boys and girls divisions will battle for team and individual state championships, and once again, the Lake Country area will be well-represented once the running begins Saturday morning.
