Article: Here's the sweet spot in cancer screening?

Among the more prominent and potentially most befuddling medical news items of the past week was an article in the New York Times, in turn based on a paper in the current issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, calling into question the value of screening for breast and prostate cancer. What made the Times article especially provocative was that it expressed doubts about the benefits of screening raised by the American Cancer Society itself.
