CENTERVILLE -- It's no surprise that the students' fridge really
smells at the end of the week.
At the David-Curtis School of Floral Design, 209 N. Main St.,
students put in three 40-hour weeks to earn a certificate in floral
arrangements. That translates into a lot of flowers that need to be
kept cool.
Ruth Jorgensen, owner/ president of the school and Centerville
Florists Inc., first attended the school in the 1970s after her son
Kevin Jorgensen, a Kettering West graduate, completed the program.
"At the time he was looking for a job. I kept seeing the ad for
the school, and saying he should go. He didn't want to. He said I
should go, but I was afraid to, so I had him go first," Ruth ...
