Article: Hornets poised for run at state title

If all goes as hoped for the Alameda High girls golf team, we might see coach Stephen Burnett in a dress at season's end.

The Hornets, you see, have made a vow to win the California Interscholastic Federation state tournament this year. And should that come to pass, the players have promised to put a dress on their coach.

Given the way the Hornets have played so far this year, Burnett might not get a reprieve.

"There's about five to seven teams in the state that can equal us, or we equal them," Burnett said. "We have a chance to win the state championship this year."
