Prime hoggets were steady in price at Canterbury Agricultural
Park, in Christchurch, this week.
Better hoggets made $118 to $128, while the best spring lambs
were $110 to $120. Spring lambs topped the market, with one lot
making $131.
Prime ewes were in good condition and had a strong sale, making
$75 to $85 for heavier ewes.
The prime cattle market righted itself from last week with a 5
cents a kilogram improvement for steers and heifers. Steers made
from 155c/kg to 165c/kg, with sales to 171c/kg, while cow values
remained steady in a small yarding.

Values: The market held firm again this week with the very best
hoggets making $118 to $128, good hoggets $112 to ...
