Glendale -- Chicago outdoor retailer Erehwon Mountain Outfitters - - that's nowhere spelled backward -- will open a new store Friday at Bayshore Town Center.

The 10,000-square-foot store offers high-end clothing and gear for serious outdoor enthusiasts and for those who want to look like them in their everyday lives. Erehwon will compete with locals such as Laacke & Joys and Les Moise, as well as with national chains such as REI and Cabela's, and others.

The store is in a prominent space at the northwest edge of the center's Port Washington Road parking garage, with large signs facing I-43.

Erehwon's entry into the Milwaukee market comes at a time when many larger retailers ...
