DANVILLE -- Patrick Henry's boys and girls teams dominated the field at Ballou Park with seven top-10 finishers in the boys division and seven more in the girls on Wednesday.

Franklin County's Melissa Peeple prevented the Patriots from grabbing all of the top awards. She scored a 12-second win over Anna Carson to win the girls individual district title.

Patrick Woodford of PH also won by 12 seconds, he outdistanced John Boitnott of Franklin County.

All of the boys teams except for Halifax County qualified for the Northwest Region meet. Since William Fleming did not field a girls team this year, all four teams who competed in the that race advanced to ...
