Article: New store to fill Woollies breach ; HULL: Fashion chain predicts about 25 new jobs

HULL'S former Woolworths is to reopen as a fashion and homeware store.

The 13,000sqft shop in Prospect Street, city centre, has stood empty for 11 months.

But now, family fashion retailer Ethel Austin and its partner Au Naturele, which sells homewares, are moving in to the vacant lot.

The store is likely to open in the middle of next month, although no date has yet been set.

A spokesperson for Ethel Austin and Au Naturele said: "I cannot confirm exactly how many jobs will be created by the store, but we opened a store of a similar size last week and 25 people were given jobs. Our other Hull store will remain open.

"This is very positive news for Hull and for us.

"We are opening new stores ...
