The Fremont/Newark YMCA honored Fremont Bank's Brian Hughes as
its Volunteer of the Year at the YMCA of the East Bay annual
volunteer recognition dinner at Scott's Seafood in Oakland on Oct.
21.
Hughes serves as relationship officer for nonprofit agencies at
Fremont Bank.
He is an ambassador and advocate for the YMCA, and is
instrumental in promoting the YMCA in community-focused projects. He
was influential in expanding the YMCA Kid City program at the 2009
Fremont Festival of the Arts.
Hughes' latest project is chairing for the 2010 annual Partners
Campaign to raise funds to send children to YMCA summer camp and
other programs for children and families.
