IS IT just me or is the world going a bit mad? We're supposed to
be in a recession yet some of us still have so much surplus money
that we are not only willing, but desperate, to fork out top dollar
for children's clothes designed by Stella McCartney.
McCartney's first collaboration with Gap, a range of clothing for
0-12-yearolds, went on sale this morning in 13 flagship London
stores. If you want a fighting chance of getting your hands on the
collection, eschew your desk sandwich in favour of a lunchtime trip
to your nearest Gap. Tickets to last night's preview shopping
evening sold out on Mumsnet in "minutes", while a waiting list for
the most popular items has been in operation for weeks ...
