Article: Thunder's Macdonald earns IHL honor

BLOOMINGTON - Craig Macdonald, who had two goals and three assists in two Bloomington PrairieThunder victories this past weekend, was named International Hockey League player of the week Monday.

Macdonald finished the month of October tied for first in the league in scoring with nine points (2 goals, 7 assists) through six games. He also had a plus-4 rating and has three games with multiple points.

The Thunder is in a three-way tie for first place with Fort Wayne and Port Huron.

Bloomington (4-2) returns to the ice for a 7:05 p.m. game Wednesday against Quad City at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

A victory against the Mallards would give the Thunder its best start in its four-year history.
