Article: Playground experiments pave way for Rainey pupils' success

TWO pupils from a school in Co Londonderry could influence how
roads are designed in the future thanks to experiments in their
school playground.
Students from Rainey Endowed in Magherafelt carried out
experiments on their school's playground and car park, built using
Hydropave, a permeable paving system designed by paving and walling
specialist Tobermore.
Sixth form pupils Ross Campbell and Joshua Smith made a
presentation about their experiments to the Paveworld Conference in
Argentina last month.
Professor John Knapton, conference chairman and world authority
on sustainable drainage systems, said their presentation "will live
long in the memory".
