Article: A week later, Herd fans still in SADness

MARSHALL COACHES and players had their reasons, all legitimate, for welcoming a week off after that Nov. 1 meltdown at Central Florida.

One hopes they hunkered down in their brick cocoon known as the Fred & Christine Shewey Athletic Building, completely tuning out all other communication. Because let me tell you: That bye week did nothing but let the outrage fester among the green-clads.

And really, the time change doesn't help. Think about it: When the sun disappears before 5:30 p.m., isn't that a real bummer? There's a name for that - seasonal affective disorder, or SAD. I know it firsthand.

I don't know how many Thundering Herd fans that affects, but I see a growing number suffering from ...
