Mark Wilson's musical talent stems from within.
"It's something I grabbed hold of as a child," said Wilson, 46,
of Charleston. "It all strings from feelings, events and things I
have experienced in life. My music is played from the heart."
Wilson moved from the northern portion of the state to Charleston
in 2000 after a long battle with substance abuse. He eventually
found his way to transitional housing at the Samaritan Inn where he
became a graduate in 2004.
He now has his own apartment and works in retail and computer
repair with spare time devoted to his music.
The composer and pianist will perform for the Religious Coalition
for Community Renewal's annual fundraiser, The Big Bean ...
