As Jay Long recuperated from toe surgery, an idea was born.
Make that two ideas - one worthy of a feast, the other of a
jolly, round man in a red suit.
A member of the Nitro Church of the Nazarene on Sattes Circle,
Long was visited at his home recently by church member Billie
Harding, who wanted to check up on him.
"I have been laid up for a while with surgery on my toe. Billie
Harding, who is very active in our church, made a visit to my house
to check on me," Long said.
During Harding's visit to the convalescing Long, they started to
discuss ways to raise money for various church improvement projects.
