Back in Belfast for the Go Awards tomorrow evening, actor Marty
McCann tells Maureen Coleman about his lucky break into acting and
new role in next year's Liam Neeson blockbuster Clash of the Titans
On a frosty December night in 2007, at the world premiere of
Closing The Ring, I was chatting to actor Pete Postlethwaite. The
movie had been filmed in Belfast earlier that year and the star-
studded cast was out in force for the glamorous black-tie event at
the Waterfront Hall.
Pointing to a young man walking the red carpet with his mum, Pete
told me: "See that fella over there, he's one to watch. He's a great
wee actor and he's going to be a star."
Fast forward two years and that young Belfast ...
