Marshall men's soccer coach Bob Gray was named the Conference USA Coach of the Year on Thursday.

Gray orchestrated a 10-6-1 overall record this season, including a No. 2 seed in the conference tournament, just a year after a 3-14- 1 mark last season.

The Thundering Herd notched two wins over nationally-ranked opponents (No. 16 Alabama-Birmingham and No. 22 Kentucky), and are still in the hunt for a league crown.

Marshall will take on Alabama-Birmingham at 5 p.m. today in Tulsa, Okla. in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

* Senior Dustin Dawes was named to the All-Conference USA first team and Daniel Withrow was named Conference USA Freshman of the Year on Thursday.
