Advanced Academics has a contract to provide its online program to
the Harris County Department of Education in Houston beginning in
February.
The Oklahoma City provider of state-correlated online courses for
grades 7 through 12 will be the official online provider for the 26
school districts that are part of the Harris County Department of
Education, said Jeffrey A. Elliott, president and CEO of Advanced
Academics.
John Sawyer, superintendent of Harris County Department of
Education, said the partnership is designed to reach all students,
from those who struggle in the traditional classroom setting to those
who excel.
