Article: Del City officials hope new Wal-Mart will be economic boost

There is something of a tale of two neighborhoods transpiring in the metro area. On one hand, there are the residents of the Fox Lake neighborhood in Edmond who have been vigorously protesting plans by Wal-Mart to build a Supercenter on the city's north side. On the other hand, Del City residents are embracing plans by the Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer to construct one if its largest Oklahoma Supercenters in their city limits and are hopeful that the store could serve as a catalyst in stimulating additional economic development.
