The standard Wal-Mart at 7500 E. Reno in Midwest City closed Tuesday, but it has been relocated and upgraded into a Wal-Mart Supercenter that opens at 7:30 a.m. today at 5401 Tinker Diagonal St. in Del City.

However, David T. Burnett, director of economic development for the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce, won't necessarily be wearing a smiley face just yet. Midwest City will be without a Wal-Mart for more than two months because he said Tuesday that construction delays have pushed back the opening of a new Wal-Mart Supercenter at NE 23rd and Douglass Boulevard.
