Article: OKC-based BancFirst earnings up 9 percent for 1Q

BancFirst Corp. has reported a 9-percent increase in earnings for the first quarter.

Net income for the quarter totaled $12.2 million, or 76 cents per diluted share, up from $11.2 million, or 70 cents per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2005.

The Oklahoma City-based financial services holding company reported net income for the first six months of 2006 of $23.1 million, or $1.44 per diluted share, up from $22.1 million, or $1.38 per share, for the first six months of 2005.

The company's principal subsidiary is BancFirst, a state- chartered bank with 85 locations.

Assets at June 30 totaled $3.4 billion, up 10.7 percent from a year earlier.
