Tualatin, Oregon, embarks on "visioning" project to find out how public wants the city to grow

It's happened in Corvallis, Salem, Hillsboro, Newberg and Bend,
and now it's happening in Tualatin. What once was a small town of
1,000 only 30 years ago is in its first stages of looking toward the
future, figuring out what its 25,000 residents will want in the next
30 years.
The city is the latest in Oregon to embark on a so-called
"visioning" project, in which a range of stakeholders are asked to
focus on the city as a whole and develop objectives for the kind of
future they would like to create.
The Tualatin project - dubbed "Tualatin Tomorrow" - is an effort
set forth by Mayor Lou Ogden and City Council members to find out how
the public would like to see its city grow.
