Greg Maddux outpitched Roger Clemens, and Jeromy Burnitz hit a
tiebreaking homer in the seventh inning to lead the Chicago on the
road.
Burnitz went 3 for 4, driving in two runs and finishing only a
triple short of the cycle. Not surprisingly, offense was in short
supply with Clemens and Maddux on the mound.
Mike Lamb, filling in for struggling rookie outfielder Luke Scott,
ended the Astros' streak of scoreless innings at 21 with an RBI
double in the first.
