They found each other online and e-mailed for six months before
they spoke by telephone, then courted six months more in long-
distance calls before they met and got married slightly more than two
years ago.
Yesterday, Cliff Sosin grieved as Maryland authorities determined
that his 39-year-old wife, Vanessa Yvette Johnson, was stabbed to
death Saturday in her consignment shop in downtown Rockville.
Johnson's shop at 18 W. Montgomery Ave. was in a two-story brick
building near a Rockville police station and the Montgomery County
courthouse, in a central business district where violent crime is
rare.
