Microsoft's Xbox 360 is no longer the subject of rumor and
conjecture at gamer sites, but after its unveiling Thursday it's
still a bit of a mystery.
Ask Microsoft and people in the game industry what the big deal is
with the new Xbox -- Microsoft's second run at the video-game
console market that Sony's PlayStation 2 still dominates -- and
you'll get a few different sales pitches.

high-definition televisions, with far sharper graphics and six-
channel surround sound. (The new console can still plug into analog
tube TVs.)
