Colorado Springs lost 5-4 in 14 innings Friday night to the Tacoma
Rainiers, playing into this morning.
Tacoma scored the winning run on a throwing error by Jason Dewey,
scoring Nate Rolison as three errors in the 14th led to the unearned
run.
It was the first extra-inning game at Sky Sox Stadium this season,
and it lasted 4 hours and 57 minutes.
The previous longest game of the season at Sky Sox Stadium was 3
hours, 33 minutes, on April 25 against Tucson.
The Sky Sox were 2-3 in extra-inning games heading into Friday.
Friday was the final game of a rare six-game series in which the
teams split.
