No Hanukkah-themed musical featuring epileptic dwarves and three-
breasted women is likely to replace "Miracle on 34th Street" in the
hearts and minds of holiday movie buffs, but "Eight Crazy Nights"
surely will have its admirers. After all, what prepubescent boy or
tipsy fraternity brother can resist the comic charms of Adam Sandler,
especially a cartoon Adam Sandler whose mighty belches shatter glass?
Oy, vey. Like most movies produced under the Happy Madison banner,
"Eight Crazy Nights" is a bizarre concoction of stomach-turning
crudity and doe-eyed earnestness that yields more groans than laughs.
This time, we're also subjected to Sandler's debatable musical
