What's the aural equivalent of love at first sight?

Thomas Wilson doesn't know what it's called, but he experienced it the first time he heard Gian Carlo Menotti's "Martin's Lie."

"I tripped over it about three years ago," says the conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs. "I love the harmonies and I love the story - and it struck me as the perfect collaboration between the Colorado Springs Conservatory and the Chamber Orchestra."

That's because Menotti's tale, set in an orphanage, features major roles for children and a juicy but difficult part for a children's choir.
