Article: Sky Sox continue to struggle/ Colorado Springs has lost seven of its past 10 games

By the time the weekend is over, Colorado Springs and Oklahoma will be familiar with each other.

The clubs played for a fifth consecutive time Friday as they opened a four-game series at Sky Sox Stadium.

It took 11 innings before the RedHawks were able to pull out an 8- 7 victory in front of 2,777. Ryan Ludwick drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly off Brian Smith.

The Sky Sox led 7-0 after five innings. Manager Rick Sofield was not pleased his team collapsed.

"That was a hard one," Sofield said. "We have a bullpen, and a club, that should win a game like that."

Colorado Springs dropped to 32-28, having lost for the seventh time in 10 games.
