DEAR MARCIA: Do you have recipes for cheddar cheese fondue that
don't use processed cheese?- Georgia Funari, Colorado Springs
The recipe you seek sounds more like venerable Welsh rarebit or
rabbit, rather than classic Swiss fondue. The first recipe which
follows is from "The Complete Fondue Menu and Party Book," by
Beatrice Ojakangas.
The second appears in "Fondue, Chafing Dish and Casserole
Cookery," by Margaret Deeds Murphy.
Marcia Burg's column appears every other week in Food. Write to
her at The Gazette, P.O. Box 1779, Colorado Springs 80901, or e-mail
