The sky spit sleet all afternoon and the early season juggernaut
that was Simla's offense sputtered too, as Swink stormed past the
Cubs 41-8 Saturday afternoon in an 8-Man Black Forest League game.
The Rusler brothers, Bart and Brett, accounted for 308 of the
Lions' 401 yards of total offense, and Swink (3-0) held Simla (2-1)
senior tailback John LaChapelle to 101 yards on 34 carries.
LaChapelle had averaged 254 yards on the ground in the Cubs' first
two contests, and his team had averaged 54 points in those two
victories.
"Simla's got a good team, they've got a good hard runner in
LaChapelle, and they played us tough," Swink coach James Lopez said.
