Article: Defense is dandy/ Third-quarter plays prove decisive as AFA stops North Texas

Trevor Hightower darted through the gap between the North Texas guard and tackle, and in an instant, he was all over Scott Hall, stuffing the Mean Green quarterback's sneak attempt on a key fourth- and-1 attempt in the second quarter of Air Force's 34-21 win Saturday.

But Hightower wasn't happy. He had to come off the field.

"We love being on the field," said Hightower, who was among several Falcons who spent a large part of Saturday in North Texas' backfield. "We were having so much fun out there playing we didn't want to leave."

Who can blame him? Under defensive coordinator Richard Bell's blitzing style, playing defense for the Falcons these days is an 11- man party.
