At one point early in tonight's game -- before the Baltimore Orioles chose to pitch to first-half league MVP Carlos Delgado with a base open in the second inning, before Deivi Cruz dropped a routine popup in the third, before reliever Travis Driskill entered with the bases loaded and drilled his first batter with his first pitch to force in a run -- the Orioles had a fighting chance against the Toronto Blue Jays.

That point came on Omar Daal's first pitch of the game, a strike to Shannon Stewart.
