Building or expanding roads always has the potential to ruffle
feathers.
To handle the predicted increase in population, El Paso County
officials have developed a Major Corridors Transportation Plan,
calling for 15 road improvements in Falcon, Security/Widefield and
Black Forest.
Predictably, the plan has stirred up concern, nowhere more so than
in Black Forest, where neighbors are upset about one possibility:
extending Milam Road through the heart of the ponderosa pine country.
County officials will present the plan for public comment Thursday
at the Black Forest Community Center.
