Criteria added to the NCAA hockey tournament selection process two
years ago helped knock Colorado College out of this year's
tournament.
Notre Dame received the final at-large bid to the 16-team field
Sunday, thus keeping CC out for the second time in the past 10 years
and preventing the Tigers from playing in the West Regional at
Colorado Springs World Arena.
The Fighting Irish got the edge over CC because of bonus points
for "good wins," defined as nonconference victories against teams
with one of the nation's top 15 Ratings Percentage Indexes.
Notre Dame had wins at Boston College and Wisconsin, and a neutral-
