DENVER - When the Boston Red Sox make their first visit to Coors
Field tonight to begin the most anticipated series of the Colorado
Rockies' season, the count on the scoreboard probably won't be as
memorable as the count in the stands.
The Rockies might be visitors in their own ballpark. Red Sox
Nation is coming.
Denver has rarely had a baseball experience like the atmosphere
that's expected at Coors Field tonight, mostly because of the
"Nation," socalled because of the far reach and fanaticism of its
members.
Though the Rockies have fallen into last place in the National
League West, on pace for a franchiseworst season and attendance lows
at Coors Field, only the 2002 interleague series ...
