Article: Former AFA athletic director looking for options

All Randy Spetman can do now is wait.

The former Air Force athletic director interviewed Tuesday for the same position at East Carolina University, and said Thursday he was interested in the job.

After retiring from the Air Force and ending his eight-year tenure as the Falcons' athletic director Jan. 2, Spetman said he is itching to get back into athletics.

His future -- at least at the Greenville, N.C., school -- is in the hands of a search committee that is expected to cull a list of eight candidates to three as early as today, committee chairman Steve Showfety said earlier this week.
