SAN JOSE, Calif. c Seventy-five feet from the Colorado Avalanche
dressing room at HP Pavilion, general manager Pierre Lacroix was
walking in circles and whistling a tune as though nothing was wrong
with the world.
Ironically, that's kind of how the San Jose Sharks have felt ever
since the Avalanche came to town.
The Sharks have whistled right by the Avalanche in the first two
games of the Western Conference semifinals, backing up a blowout in
Game 1 with a 4-1 rout Saturday in Game 2.
While San Jose looks like it's on a collision course with the
Stanley Cup, the Avalanche has just been looking -- looking at the
