Black Forest area residents will celebrate their history and
community Saturday with the 50th annual Black Forest Festival.
"We're a small town, so this will have a real small-town
atmosphere," organizer Ron Brown said. "We're not incorporated, so
this is the one thing a year that pulls all of us together.
"It's a real community effort."
The day will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at Black
Forest and Shoup roads.
A hundred vendor booths will be on hand, with arts and crafts and
