Article: Black Forest ready to celebrate 50th annual festival includes parades, food, pony rides

Black Forest area residents will celebrate their history and community Saturday with the 50th annual Black Forest Festival.

"We're a small town, so this will have a real small-town atmosphere," organizer Ron Brown said. "We're not incorporated, so this is the one thing a year that pulls all of us together.

"It's a real community effort."

The day will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at Black Forest and Shoup roads.
