Article: Colorado Humane Society cites Texan in seizure of 5 young tigers

The Colorado Humane Society on Tuesday cited a Texas woman who was caring for five young tigers seized Monday night outside a North Academy Boulevard clothing store.

The tigers had been left unattended in a trailer behind the Western Warehouse, 5506 N. Academy Blvd., where they were being used for a promotion.

Animal control officers and police, concerned the animals had apparently been left without food, water or heat and the possibility of someone sticking a finger in the trailer, towed it to a city garage for the night.

"A week ago, we gave them a warning about leaving it unattended and they did it again," said John Rogers, with the Humane Society. "They were returned to their owners ...
