Article: Coffee's a hot seller at Black Forest Festival Hundreds brave chilly weather for parade, booths

BLACK FOREST - The damp, cold weather did little to douse the enthusiasm of hundreds of Black Forest residents Saturday.

They came out in droves for the Black Forest Festival -- part community celebration and part fundraiser for the Black Forest Community Center.

It was hard to tell whether the high point of the 46th annual festival was the warm blueberry pancakes, the unique parade or the espresso truck.

"We're usually dying in the heat," said Kay Perelstein as she mounted a horse to ride in the parade. Perelstein and her husband, Irv, were riding for the Black Forest Trails Association.
