The Old West rides again in home decor.
And you don't have to know what "whoopee ti yi yo" or "git along
little dogies" means to enjoy the resurgence of the Western look.
All you need is a touch of whimsy and an appreciation of the
heritage, geography and culture of the West, whether you live in
Colorado Springs or Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
"It's nostalgic. It reflects a time when good was good and bad was
bad," says Gretchen Graham, a former schoolteacher who sells Western
collectibles and antiques at her Manitou Springs shop, Ruxton's
Trading Post.
Debbie Nichols, a cowgirl turned owner of Cowbells gift shop in
Fountain, agrees.
"We like Western because John Wayne could do no wrong. ...
