WOLF TRAP commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Wright
brothers' first flight on Saturday evening in a program that includes
a high-definition film ("On the Wings of a Dream") that pays homage
to flight, plus a rare Air Force flyover featuring four F-16s and an
historic World War II aircraft. But it is choreographer Elizabeth
Streb who is truly testing the limits of flight in a most intimate
and groundbreaking fashion. Streb, who has been enthralled by speed
and momentum since she took ski lessons as a child, trains her
dancers to take to the air and stay there -- for 10 seconds or more.
