MARK PLOTKIN'S article on visiting all 50 state capitals ["There
Is Nothing Like a Dome," Nov. 2] thrilled me. Starting in either high
school or college, I decided to visit all the county seats in
Virginia. Some 10 years later, I have visited almost all of them --
except, ironically, Arlington, practically in my back yard. My family
accompanied me on all my trips and we enjoyed seeing the various
geography, small towns and architecture of the county courthouses,
not to mention learning the history of the state. I hope Mr. Plotkin
will write another article about his latest conquered capitals. I
enjoyed his writing style.
