Dear Dr. Fox:
I'm really embarrassed to talk about this, but I really need help.
My 11-year-old dog, Prince, smells more like a pauper. In a word, he
smells terrible! Both his body and his breath give off an unbearable
odor, and bathing him doesn't seem to help. The vet says he's in good
health, so we tell ourselves not to worry. But we're concerned that
something abnormal may be causing this unpleasantness. Have you heard
of this kind of problem before, and is there any help for it?
