What is it Christine Baranski has that you don't see in a lot of
other actresses? Well, she certainly has versatility, having
distinguished herself in any number of stage, television and movie
roles. But so have a lot of her colleagues.
Is it her enduring, statuesque good looks? After all, only months
before her 50th birthday, which she just celebrated, she was inducted
into the Celebrity Legs Hall of Fame. Nah. Thanks to personal
trainers, botox, Jenny Craig, etc., plenty of stars are holding their
own these days, bodywise.
How about . . . gumption? Yes! Baranski -- who plays the
charmingly homicidal Mrs. Lovett in "Sweeney Todd," which opens the
Kennedy Center's Stephen Sondheim festival ...
