The Los Angeles Lakers, the hottest thing in original TV
programming, starred in three of the top five TV programs last week,
driving NBA playoffs host NBC to a 2-million-viewer lead over its
closest competitor. Here's a look at the week's three-pointers and
double dribbles:
WINNERS
Sunday's NBA playoff game. Game 7 of the Lakers-Kings conference
championship series netted the NBA's biggest audience since Michael
Jordan's last NBA Finals four years ago. NBC won the night, beating
its closest competitor by a hefty 13.3 million viewers.
Miss Universe Pageant. Moved out of the competitive May sweeps and
out of the broadcast black hole known as Friday night, the annual
chick trophy show snagged ...
