-- Everyone, it seems, is bailing on the Baltimore Orioles these
days. Free agents have been spurning them the past couple of winters.
Fans are staying away in record numbers this season. And now, even
the team's top minor league affiliate is taking its ball and going
home.
The news that the Rochester Red Wings officially dropped the
Orioles this afternoon in favor of the better-stocked, better-run
Minnesota Twins lent an air of wistfulness to the proceedings tonight
at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, where the Orioles took out their
frustrations on a third party.
