If you're still trying to determine your New Year's Eve menu --
whether you're hosting a dinner for four or a party for a dozen --
consider puffy grape and Brie fritters and a party cheese ball as
appetizers.
The Brie fritters can be turned into a dessert by adding a drop
of amaretto and/or a 1/2 cup chopped toasted nuts to the recipe. And
then, when the fritters cool a bit, dust with confectioners' sugar.
Mary Alice Lehman of Northlake shares a requested recipe for a
party cheese ball that's easy and filled with the flavors of three
